The first event of the Blancpain Series saison was scheduled this week-end at Monza track.
Olivier Pla not being available, Marco Mapelli took his seat hoping to score some good points on his land.
The qualifications sessions began nicely, the porsche was fast and Nicolas Armindo signed the 2nd best time.
The sun shined during the race and everything seemed to be fine for the team.
As the only non-professional driver, Eric Clément was regular and efficient. Before the pit stop, the 997 was 6th and the battle was looking good.
But the refueling was pure chaos. Blocked by another competitor, we end up 30th.
Nicolas Armindo moves up nicely to the 16th rank.
We could have hoped for better but this is still another proof that the team and the car are doing good.
